قررت محكمة الاستئناف في العاصمة نواكشوط، الاثنين، تشكيل فريق طبي لتقييم الحالة الصحية للرئيس السابق محمد ولد عبد العزيز، الذي يقبع في السجن على ذمة قضايا فساد.
وجاء قرار المحكمة بعد تأكيد دفاع الرئيس السابق معاناته من مضاعفات صحية لعملية جراحية أجراها سابقا على القلب، إضافة إلى التهابات في المفاصل تعيق قدرته على الحركة
وقررت محكمة الاستئناف توقيف الجلسات القضائية التي يواجهها عبد العزيز لمدة أسبوع على أن تستأنف الاثنين القادم بناءً على نتائج التقرير الطبي.
